Linoleum Animation Festival 2017

The festival program this year includes 250 animated films, 10 master classes and lectures, special events for the 90th anniversary of Ukrainian animation and a busy programme for children. As a theme, the organisers have chosen heroes and villains, because we are surrounded by a world of duality, oppositions and contrasts, which is not divided into black and white. It is only us who can decide who to become in the end. The competition is divided into 4 blocks, which will be shown on each day of the festival. This is a national competition, an out-of-competition programme, experimental animation and video art, as well as special screenings. A Great Georgian Holiday with “Borzhomi”

This weekend, the National Botanical Garden. Grishko will turn into a mini modern Georgia. This year it will be possible not only to dance under the incendiary rhythms of the most fashionable Georgian bands Mgzavrebi and New One, to teleport yourself to Tbilisi and Batumi with the help of VR-glasses and get acquainted with the culture of the country, but also to win a trip there within the framework of a photo tour with Marina Karpiy. On the food court there will be Georgian specialities from more than 40 restaurants.

Festival of Cheese and Wine

The programme of the 9th Cheese and Wine Festival includes oyster battles, the third  Kyiv Wine Run, the grape crush in a large vat, the definition of the best wine and the best sparkling wine in Ukraine, the Wine Week, the wine lecture hall and master classes for cheese production. Guests can taste the wine with various Ukrainian author’s cheeses. In addition, you can also try other products from farms – meat, fish, delicacies, seafood and much more!

The legends of the Russian hip-hop underground “Krovostok” will return to Kyiv once again. In 2015, the musicians represented the album “Lombard” in Atlas, before celebrating their 10th anniversary in the Ukrainian capital. This time the programme will consist of their all time best, most popular hits Their work combines “adult” themes of songs with the intellectuality of the participants themselves. Musicians note that they play for people who soberly think and understand where the line between imagery and reality lies.

Nicholas Jaar

On the last day of September, the Chilean American electronic artist Nicholas Jaar will perform in Kiev for the first time. He began studying music at the age of 14, and released the first studio album at 21. Space Is Only Noise was released in 2011 and immediately received positive feedback from profile publications. He has already amassed 4 successful records. One of them is “Pomegranates”. This art experiment Jahar released as an alternative soundtrack to the film by Sergei Parajanov “Pomegranate colour” in 1968, which caused an active discussion of his work in the press.
