This year Kyiv is proud to host the UEFA Champions League Final. Obviously, not all the fans will be able to get to the Olimpiyskiy stadium. That’s why all over the city football lovers will be able to find the various fan zones, photo zones, and events dedicated to the Final. One of the biggest will be at Khreshchatyk. There won’t be any match streaming there, however, you’ll be able to meet the players from the two legendary teams who play in the Final! Besides that, there will be a lot of concerts, contests, and fun.

Ukrainian Craft Beer Fest

In case you prefer to get away from all the football routine and have some good beer, Craft Beer Fest at VDNH will be the place for you. More than 30 local brewing companies with over 100 types of beers will gather here at one place. Get to taste it!

Ice Cream Festival

Just next to the Champions Fest, at the Ukrainian House, the City Birthday Ice Cream Fest will take place. The most famous Ukrainian producers will demonstrate their best products. A lot of ice cream related contests and the show will make the event even more fun.

Folk Ukraine

St. Sophia square will dance for the whole weekend: latino, tango, valse and Ukrainian traditional dances. The stage here will host Tayanna and Mariya Yaremchuck on Saturday, MamaRika, and Pianoboy on Sunday. But probably the most exciting thing here will be the 9 meters high birthday cake. Happy 1536, Kyiv!

Festival of Kites

On Sunday you’ll be able to launch your own kite and to teach the kids to control them. You’ll be able to do that at two different places: Pyrohiv open-air museum, and the Constitution Square near the Parliament house.

Chacha degustation for Georgian Independence Day

This year Georgian Independence day in Ukraine is aiming for Guinness World Records. If you want to be a part of this great event, don’t hesitate to come and drink some good Georgian wine or chaha to honor the Independence of this beautiful country.

Kurazh Night Market India

If you want to travel even further east without leaving the city, visit this little India place at Kurazh Bazar. ‘Platforma’ Art Factory will literally turn into Mumbai. Singing, dancing, drawing, eating, meditating and many more cool things. These are going to be a few fun nights!

Green Week

And last but not the least, the Green Week is a big thing in Ukraine, for both Orthodox religious people, and those who just follow old Slavic traditions. This weekend Ukrainians decorate their homes with mint leaves and many other green herbs and happily welcome summer.
